Just wondering if anyone has attempted to add a 110 Volt outlet to the back of the center console for the peeps in the back seat? Maybe one for the third row seat guy?

My thought was to add a GMC Part#22854091
AUX JACK for 2014 GMC Sierra 1500|22854091

and/or maybe:
GMC Part#13581217
AUX JACK for 2014 GMC Sierra 1500|13581217

I would assume I would have to add a power converter somewhere for the 110 Volt outlet. I'm removing my center console to clean it up since the finish on it is all scratched up, and thought it would be a good time to change out one of the two cigarette type power plugs to something a little more useful.

Let me know what you guys think

I think it could come in handy. For example: while camping or running late. The wife could blow dry her hair. Kids could play playstation. Power tools.


Just had my console apart. You should have no problem stashing a small inverter in there.

good thing my exwife never comes in this forum or else she be bugging me to do this for her ... but on a side note this mod could come handy for alot of more important things . if you do get it let us know how it went for you . post picts if posible .....
