just got back from Yosemite, put 1000 miles on the H2 and I got about 12.5 mpg. wish I got 15-16 mpg. That would have been great. Used 80 gallons at 4.80/gallon almost 400 bucks in gas

Congrats!

Does the 08 H2 take 87 octane? What does the manual suggest?

With the 72 Hour Sale going on I went a test dove a New 08 yesterday. However we are in the process of buying a house and I cannot do any other financing right now. But I drove it anyway to see what I am missing. I will tell you that the 08 is AWESOME compaired to my 03. I really wish I could pull the trigger on a new one right now.

Anyway in regards to your question the truck will shift less in Tow/Haul mode as It will hold gears much longer. Also you might want to try and Tow in Manual Mode with your Paddle shifters.

Just my .02

Yeah i did use the paddle shifter, just annoyed me b/c everytime I went up a small slope, I had to downshift to 4th or 5th gear. Does anyone know if the predator would help in regards to this

About 7 weeks ago when we test drove a H2 for the first time, the lot had 2 left over 07's. We test drove one 08, and both 07's. The 07's felt like they had more puch to them. It was a hard choice to make, but we bought one of the 07's for few reasons. One was the fact it felt like it had better kick to it, my wife liked the color, and it has a really cool hard shell tire cover. Price was only about 4k less for then the 08's.

I'm still not impressed with interior of new models. My 06 just seems cushier, if you know what I mean. There is more soft leather. I didnt like the 08 hard plastic look, the hard plastic on the door where the old leather is. I hated the harder leather on the center console ,plus the new indent on the console I dont care for. The seats arent unique to Hummer any more either. I do like the newer nav and some of the refinement, but not enough to buy a new one. I'm glad I found the 06 Fusion Orange LE !

We liked the older bubble (eye ball looking) A/C vents better then the flat ones on the 08's. (another reason why we bought one of the 07's) BUT, the more we see the new dash style, the more we like it.
