Default 07 H3 Door contols

I have an early model 07 H3 with the window controls located so far back that i can almost scratch my back while putting the window down. i see that the later 07 models have the controls moved up to the incline of the arm rest. does anybody know if they make a kit that would allow me to do the same to mine?

I've pondered that very question since I found out about it. You'd think they would have known better after the 06 shipped and had it fixed for ALL 07's.

Depending on the price I'd spring for an upgrade.

Look at it this way, in 20 years our "old switch 07s" will be worth more to the auto collector/restoration enthusiasts!

The doors are identical on the 07 and 06 so panel should fit very nicely. Good solution short of getting an 08. Have no idea what it would cost which is always a consideration.

I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap from the dealer or factory IF you could get them from GM. Looks like the only difference is the molding of the panel and position of the switch unit on the panel. Knowing GM they changed the harness and switch sizes so you can't put the new panel and the old switches.

I doubt you could find one new style panel much less the right two at a salvage yard. My luck, I'd find two right ones for $50.00 [:@]

You could purchase one of the updated door panels (I'm unsure of the cost) - and as for wiring, you'll need an extender to reach the new control spot.

You could pour a cup of coffe or something in both front doorpanels and see if the dealer will replace them with the new style.

That was the first thing my wife noticed on our H3 and thatthe Dealer said it was a 2007 1/2. Also the Pedals were spaced slightly farther apart than the 06 we first had.

I went to http://www.gmparts-direct.com/under the collision catalog and found the panels;
Front door, Interior trim, Door trim panel, Ebony, Ebony Left Ebony Left 06-08 $328.49 on sale $243.41
It has a break down of the interior parts, but no P/N's I would call them.800-274-3603 or if you go to the site you can e-mail your question. I e-mail them, when I get an answer I will post it for all.

Update, I received an email back stating if I did that it would void my warranty. Ireplied saying that was a lame answer. So now I am waiting for another response.
