Default Nice

Sweet Ride! Can you tell me where you found the front bumper and winch setup? I have a 2009 H3T Alpha with the Lux package. The wife likes leather but I'd rather have had the Locker! I had posted a question earlier about the bed on my truck shaking. The GM dealer doesn't have a clue and there are very few H3Ts in Alaska, so they don't have alot to go off of. Does your bed vibrate at all. They have checked all of the mount bolts but say it's all good. Well, It's not all good but they can't fix it? Any issues with your truck. Thanks and keep the pics coming.

Thanks!

The front bumper/winch combo was made by Boulder Accessories and have since been discontinued. The origional price was about $1200. I got both of mine off of ebay when they did a blow-out sale. Under $400 each (with the mile marker SE9500 winch included).

I would keep and eye out on ebay and the other HUMMER forums for someone getting rid of one.

As far as the bed vibrating? I'm not sure what your describing. Are you talking about the bed moving independently from the cab? If so that is normal on every pickup I've ever owned. Do you have a vibration you can feel?

Default Bed

I agree, all truck beds will move somewhat from flexing of the frame. In my case driving down smooth as a babys butt highway you can see the bed shifting side to side about a 1/4 inch left and right. If you get on a bumpy road the thing looks like it's going to jump off the truck. You can also hear a pretty good rattle that coincides with the bed movement. Of course the dealer can't see what i see or hear what i hear. My sons coach has a 2009 H3T Alpha and has agreed to go with me to the dealer and do the Air Force Comparison Check. More to follow. Thanks again

Let me know what you find out. I haven't noticed any "odd" movements on ours, but it could just be a matter of time?

Default The rest of the story.

Had a friend of mine that also has an H3T go to the dealer with me. They wanted to compare the two and see if something was missing off of my bed. Turns out her bed moves also but not as much as mine and they both have all of the same brackets and mounting hardware. So it seems that my truck was put together on a Monday or Friday and that's the way it is. As soon as i get the chance I will pull her in the garage and see if there is anyway to brace the sides of the bed and stop the movement. My faith in Dealership maintenance has sunk to a new low. Still love the truck.
