My dream is to take the family out west in 2 years and I really want to do some trails in Moab. How capable is my base H3T for conquering some trails out there? My last experience 4 wheeling was when I owned a Jeep Wrangler when I was in college 20 years ago. What do I need to do to get my H3T ready? The obvious is UBP. Do I need rock rails? I have my truck leveled and put on the front Cognitos and bumpstops. My tires are 295/75/16 BFG AT/KOs. Do I need a heavy duty bumper and winch? Can I make it without the front and rear locking differential? When is the best time to go to Moab? With my kids in school, the only time we have to take off any substantial period of time is during the summer. Is it too hot doing Moab in the summer? Anything else I need to know?
