Thinking about custom painted flames on our H3
Going to have some custom paint work done this spring on our H3. Searched the 'net for some ideas and found an H3 with some flames that look kinda lame. Also found some possibilities of silver and blue ghost flames that we might have done in a pattern similar to the 1st photo. Don't know for sure yet, but I think the silver/blue colors done correctly would look pretty sweet.

hummer truly like nuttin else, square, boxy, not the pointy nose like all the others.thatsmakes it special, unique. i think flames go on a sleek custom body ,a hot rod,,but no no h3! it dont fit.
on a Hummer is mud splash. even that otta be a "peel off"

I would say no...flames to me belong on a hotrod. Not to mention, if you ever have a need to unload it via private sale...your options could be greatly limited.
But like the others have said, do what you like.

I understand about the rough/tough offroad stuff with Hummers. We are planning to use ours (this H3) exclusively for auto shows and cruise nights. We will be buying an H2 SUT for daily driving. I appreciate everyone's opinions about the mud, but this one will never see mud on purpose.

I know they are a blast. Unfortunately my (and my wife's) offroading days met an abrupt end (see pics below) due to spinal injuries from an accident in July, 2010. I totally agree about the urge to take it to the limit, but our limit is now lawn chairs with a little walking. Without exaggerating too much, it is painful for us to go over railroad tracks without slowing down quite a bit.
