Rust-like dots on paint
#23
Not spider crap, its called industrial fallout. Small pieces of metal from brake dust, railroads, etc that get embedded in the paint. Spend an afternoon and wash the whole vehicle, clay bar it, and seal it with a good wax like turtle wax ice.
Spider crap. Seriously?

I did a search on what to clean my truck with and I found that thread..oh well..didn't realize it was that old until after.....I clean my truck all the time but never tried clay bar I'm gonna look tonight after work for some...the worse is my tires are so wide the fenders are always dirty..if it's wet or somethings in the road it ends up on my lower door panels and fenders..it's a pain in the !!

My "white" 09 with only 11,000 miles had them all over the fenders and lower doors.. I used a clay bar and that didnt remove many of them because they were imbedded in the clear coat so I ended up using a porter cable to clean 100% of them and then I sealed it.. I dont think you'll get a clay bar to remove all them..

I'd recommend getting one of the big 200 gram bars from amazon or somewhere. Go with a rougher clay if you've never done it, but since I always at least give my car a light pass when washing it, I've been using a finer clay since the first time I did it and used a medium clay.
