So whats the deal with light bars for the H3? Why are they so insanely expensive?

The only one I really like is the RealWheels one, nice and simple black bar. The only problem is it's like $500. For some powder coating tube steel and light tabs. Right.

What the possibility of modifying an OEM roof rack to look something like this delta one?

Does anyone know how far forward the roof racks can go? My truck didn't come with them so I'm really not sure

 

Ok just ran outside and looked. The OEM roof rack only goes as far forward as the rear of my sunroof.....

Guess my best option is the RealWheels since my roof markers would probably get in the way of lights back that far.

I wonder I can find a local machine shop to fab me up something like the RealWheels....

 

that picture is as far as they can go. The only one i saw that i liked was like 1,500.00 so im sticking with my roof markers.

 

I really like this one the best. But $500 seems like an awful lot of money for what looks like a really simple product. I'd rather just go all the way and get a Gobi at that point.

Gonna see if I can find a local machine/fab shop to copy this or make something like it for something more reasonable like $300 and spend the extra on an intake.

 

Its not just the bar the 500 makes sense now it replaces a lot of the black trim by the windshield looks nice too.

 

I honestly don't think it comes with replacement trim. I remember reading somewhere it uses rivnuts which are a pain in the ***.

Look at this, trim looks stock to me still.....

 

Does anyone know where to get that hood mount for the dog?

 

I have been looking for one that mounts to the front for the H3 like in the example pic..... I went to a fab shop and since the H3 has plastic molding they would also need to add two bars to tack onto the stock roof mounts..
easy 1200-2000 (No painted, without lights, just custom fab work).

Nice rack but I would rather spend a bit more for a gobi so I have the options for a ladder, etc. I know you made it and everything though, sorry....
