Read If Your H3 Radiator Has Cracked or Leaked
#431
My tank just went at 59,000 miles. I ordered a new one from gmpartsonline.net and will be doing the work myself. Is there a link to a write on how to change it out? I found one but it was a bit vague. Should also be concern about getting air in the system? Also were the transmission lines hard to remove? Thanks!

There are good instructions posted somewhere on this site. I had to swap out the Rad on my '06 and it was a piece of cake!

Mine had the same large crack on top too. It took me an hour or so to remove it . I took it to my local radiator repair shop and the put a new top on it for $65.00. They had it done in a couple hours . I took it home and was up and running that day. Fluids and all I was out about $100.00 .

What I forgot to say is that the radiator shop had the top in stock because they repair a lot of these type GM radiators. After read more of the treads , I filed a complaint with NHSTA https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/index. . I also filed one about my A/C resistor and plug melting.
