Read If Your H3 Radiator Has Cracked or Leaked

Stang5_0, send me your number and I'll give you a call to let you know what I told hummer and how I said it to get them to replace mine. No way should anybody have to pay to have their radiator replaced.
[QUOTE=Stang5_0;282529]On Hold right now with HUMMER, same issue with my 07 and was just quoted $894 for factory or 651.50 for aftermarket. These are parts and labor prices. I was told it is the heat taking its toll on the equipment.
Will update as this goes on.

Now I'd be willing to entertain that it's possible that there's a difference between the 3500 and 3700 rads...and it maybe that the wrong rad is being installed on 3700 H3's.. Or that something is possibly being done with bracketing to move them back some. But the new rad appears slightly taller.. That I can't really say for sure though.
What bothers me the most is that the kid at the dealership pointed it out to me that its cracked. He added:
1-We see your radiator is cracked and this is common.
2-We only replace it if it actually leaks.
3-So we will keep an eye on it.
That helps me on I25 northbound on a roadtrip 300 miles from my house on a Sunday night?

Mine was replaced about 10,000 miles ago it is an 07 h3; I was just checking under the hood and it is starting to rub against the support again, I am going to cut the support lip off to give it more room.

Silla makes an aftermarket replacement for 110 bucks and has a lifetime warranty.
The stocker is 330 on the same site with a 12k miles warranty one year.

We can file a complaint with the NHTSA.
This database includes information received by NHTSA from consumers either directly or as recorded by the Vehicle Safety Hotline. This information may be used by NHTSA during the investigation process. You may file your own complaint by calling the NHTSA Monday-Friday 8am to 8pm at (888) 327-4236, TTY: (800) 424-9153. You can also file your complaint online:

If enough people call about the failure, they will investigate. Leaving you stranded on a hiway is a safety issue.

Had my radiator replaced today. Hummer covered it. I see the top of the radiator was redesigned some it tilts back more and has supports built into the plastic. But it will be going back tomorrow. On the front side of the radiator their is a hairline 3" long crack. On the front side. Infront of the filler neck. Right next to the sticker. Also was informed there is a bulletin out for corroded front brake lines. They replaced those for me while it was there for free. Everybody should bring theirs in and have their front brake hoses replaced under the bulletin. Doesn't cost anything. Kinda funny hummer can say there isn't anything wrong with our radiators but they redesigned the top of the radiator.

Oh and there's also a service/recall on your hood louver(sp) too.
The clips that hold it to the hood are @ fault.

So I turned down the offer altogether, said they already had the truck for a few days, I'm a patient guy keep it longer until they work this out.
Although this is not the best week to be out of my H3 and on my motorcycle since we are shattering heat records here in Phoenix.
So did it take some haggling and back and forth before you guys got results? It seems I am on track hopefully.

I don't haggle.. I simply told them fix it.
I did'nt pay $26,000 cash and $3000.00 for a top of the line extended warranty to haggle about anything.
