Default O2 sensor recommendation

Anyone have a recommendation of which brand of O2 sensor should I get to replace my current ones?

Why are you replacing any? Sport? Boredom? Nothin better to do? Ugly girlfriend?

Obvious correct answer = ACDelco.

That's right, get the denso in the blue box, at a higher cost, if it makes you sleep better at night.

Got the p2270 code plus hearing a rattling sound in the exhaust pipe under the drivers seat location and it’s near the sensor there.

Easy stuff first. Change the sensor and while you are there, inspect the wire harness to it, connecter should be sprayed with electronic cleaner before plugging in the new one, and look at the heat shield for a rattle.

Could be a bigger or different problem, but rule out the sensor first.

Check for an exhaust leak using soapy water and low pressure air into the tailpipe to find the leak. For an exhaust leak the hose into the tailpipe with air, sealed with shop towels, then soapy water would be sprayed around seals, seems, and bosses.

if your hearing rattling noises the catalytic converter is probably breaking apart internally and the sensors are probably fine. if you can get an inspection camera through the first oxygen sensor hole you might be able to see if the cat is damaged. they do sell oxygen sensor spacers for the rear o2 sensors that will trick the ECU into compliance but it will do nothing for a clogged catalytic.

Forgot to mention... whenever you ask a question, YEAR, MODEL, MILES and a description of any recent work done just before the onset of symptoms should always be included.

I got the YEAR, MODEL via the excellent search feature here on HF. I agree it's important to include as much information for proper assistance!
