Default NFab Products Complaints

So since my email to NFab has gone unanswered in my quest for help I'm going to make my complaints public. Kevin from Rampart has even attempted to contact them on my behalf, no dice.

These wheel to wheel steps suck. Bad. They're way too far forward to use without it being award since out door's don't open very far. Also, the finish blows. I don't know what kind of horrible power coating process they use, but my steps are starting to peel like an onion, and bad. I've never bashed them on anything, power washed them, or abused them. In fact they even get waxed as per their recommendations when I wash my truck.

They're peeling more and more every day, and it's to the point where I can pull big flakes right off the bars, I'm sure rust isn't far behind now that the top coat is gone. They look fine until you get up on them, and then its just embarrassing.

Like I said, I've never abused them and the worst they've had to contend with is road debris, and some mud.

So thanks for ignoring all of my attempts to have you stand behind your products NFab. I will be providing pictures soon.

Not much you can do about the step locations, but if nothing gets resolved, sand blast and truck bed liner coat them. It'll hold up better, be more slip resistant, and look better.

I'm gonna sand blast NFab all over every hummer forum in existence if they don't give me SOME kind of reply. They won't even return Kevin's calls......

man I am sorry to hear that your having a rough time with NFAB and their steps. I was planning on ordering these same steps in the near future, but now I WILL consider. For the price they are at they should be made of complete stainless steel !! Sounds like overrated junk to me, good design yet poor fit and finish with a side order of bad customer service = Bad " Ju Ju" !!

I have had a similar problem with my ARIES step up bars. The tubs themselves are stainless, however the linkage from tube to frame are not so they started to rust and look terrible. They advertise stainless steel but beware that only the step tubes are.....

Not 10 min's. ago I finished removing my Westin Platinum Series nerf bars. The bars themselves, are chrome plated stainless, but the tube to frame brackets are peeling, rusting, and look like **** after only 2 years. Taking the brackets into our fab shop tomorrow, sand blasting, and coating with POR 15. That should be a permanent fix.

I have the same bars; here is my story: Had to bend the 3 brackets a ½” forward to get the driver’s side to fit without removing the mud flap even though they said they would fit fine with the mud flaps, passenger side was fine. Had to drill a small hole in drivers side loop step to remove welding slag that rolled around like BBs, you could hear it on the trail going at slow speeds! Finish SUX, if a rock hits the finish it will chip it for sure.
N-FAB will not stand by their products. When I told them about the slag before I mounted them, they said it was normal and said if I wanted a new one I would have to pay for shipping. When I told them the driver’s side brackets looked off (they did not look right before I tried to mount them) they basically called me a liar.
I do not fight losing battles so I fixed the problems myself. Next will be the finish when more rocks chip most of it away.
They do look cool. I will give them that.

Hummer Owners are most likey a small percentage of their total sells. To have a chance of getting their attention and more importantly gettting the word out to consumers about their product quality and customer service you need to voice you experience on Jeep, Tacoma, FJ, general 4x4 forums, etc. to reach a significant percentage of their future customer base.
