Lol no I don't use it everyday .
But I would gladly give it 4.5 out of 5 if it had the interface and Jeep, Chrysler,Dodge Ram, Ford capabilities right out the box. Ha!

Of course then it would be $378 - $478...

It's a nice unit but always room for improvement. For what you get it is hard to beat at current price point.

 

Is it possible to program the key fobs manually without a scanner?

 

There are no RKE self-programming instructions for this vehicle.

 

Bought this scanner, plugged it in today and only got 3 icons, obd2, setup and playback. No where to select vehicle or anything... sent the seller a message so not sure whats wrong

 

That indeed is odd. Mine came pre loaded with GM. I literally just plugged and played.

 

yea thats what everyone said, no one had to download anything. The seller messaged me back and i had to pull the memory card and download the program then update everything on the card then put it back in the scanner, i will test it shortly

 

well it didn't work. Went through all the steps and when i hit start to program and held down the lock/unlock on the fob i waited over a min and nothing, did it again, held for 15secs then did ign run then off and still nothing. I'm at a loss why these fobs wont work

 

IT WORKS! Only, when you have wireless communication from the BCM.

thanks, I actually found your post about this earlier and im going to pull the kick panel this weekend and check. I remember seeing some wiring that had been messed with by previous owner when i replaced the floor lights and they had water intrusion over there... will let you know what i find

 

Well i pulled the panel and there was no water intrusion but someone had been messing with the antenna before i bought it. Its a discontinued part (25792166). Tried plugging it back in and laying it close to me then tried to program the fobs again and still nothing... guess im just SOL

also was told this is what picks up the signal for the tpms sensors and why people will get the random tpms death light when the signal drops
