Default I made a winch bumper

This is my first post. So, I thought I should make it a good one........

I built this winch mount out of 4" square tubing and 4" flat bar (things laying around the yard). It is not the cooliest thing around but for the cost (some grey hair) it's worth it.

Thank you. I was just looking at your flames on another thread, LOL.

I was thinking. If someone was being picky about this. I did have to buy grinding pads and rattle can bed coating. So, $40 all in for the bumper.

That is a great bumper mount. I would really like to do that to mine. I like the simplicity yet usefulness. How much would those materials cost to go out and buy since I don't just have the convenience of having that stuff laying around the yard. Lol.

I think you should be able to get just what is needed for...... under a hundred bucks. Ask around. Some one you know may have something in their yard or barn.

Funny, I opened the pictures in the order you sent them. After I opened each picture I said, "nice' but I would have...". Then I would open the next picture and sure enough you made the addition. I did this right up until your last picture. That's were I thought... I'd build a brush guard up off of that as a mounting point...

Great job! I'm sure you could sell a few if you wanted to.

I am sure every guy/person that builds something for their vehicle thinks "man, I wonder if someone would buy this". So yes, I have thought about it.

For the time I put in this. I would not sale it for less than $300, and that seems like a lot to me.

Man that is a good looking mount. You said you would sell them for around $300?
What is the weight of it and have you tested the functionality of it to make sure it holds up?

I'm not sure you will get any answer form a guy who was last on H.F. over 2+ years. "Last Activity: 07-22-2012 02:33 AM"...
