How to Disable Beeping in the Hummer?
Anyone know of how to disable the beeping the Hummer makes when the key is left in the ignition and the door is open??
Sometimes your just hanging out and the doors are open and your still using the sterio, but the damn thing keeps beeping and it drives me nuts. Anyone know how to disable it? Or make it so it beeps for 5 seconds when you first open the door, then turns off for good?

I solved the same issue by:
Looking where vin info is and just to side on the flat part between front and passenger door on the driver's side, there is a black 3 inch piece of rubber that you can pull on to remove. Once the cover is off I see a white push button. I wiggled that and slid it upward. It is just a plastic clamp type deal. Came right out with a spring. So I will baggy up and keep if needed later. At camp with radio going during setup, NO DINGY DINGY!! I WOULD SET A PHONE ALARM TO START VEHICLE TO CHARGE EVERY SO OFTEN. CHEERS!

The ignition key "Dinging" is triggered by the DDS (driver door switch)!
I use my stereo all the time on job sites:
1- Open driver door window
2- Get out and close driver door(or clamp the door switch)
3- Open passenger door insert ignition key to the ACC (accessory) position.
4- Open all doors (including the cargo door H3) except the driver door.
5- Monitor voltage
