Have yet to receive all the leaf pads. But did replace two of the upper pads on the driver's side without removing theleaf packs. I placed the jack under thefront shackle and lifted the vehicle until the tire was off the ground then used a large screw driver to pry the leafs apart and slid in the new pads inwith a light coat of silicon grease. Did have to trim the edges of the pads button so the new pad buttons could be inserted into the button hole in the spring.Hopefully they will stay in place.squeak free now
Buzz,
Where did you get the teflon pads and how did you trim the button to fit the leaf spring hole?

Yeah Buzz, where did you get the pads, what size did you use ... tell us all Any photos of your handy work in squeak silencing?

Here are some links to places selling the Skyjacker brand of Teflon wear pads:

One thing about spring packs, and this is important, is they have to be torqued down TIGHT! If they are the least bit loose they'll squeak and grind, especially if the nylon or teflon bushings between the springs are worn.or there's no bushings at all in between. Start by putting a good impact wrench on the spring hangers and torque them down tight.
