would a transfer case rebuild be included as part of a transmission replacement ?

Why would they? You paid to have the transmission rebuilt. Transmission is a transmission a transfer case is a transfer case totally different animals.

Think of it this way...
If I paid to have my engine rebuilt and had to remove the transmission to do so would they rebuild my transmission?
If I paid to have my front differential rebuilt would the front prop shaft be part of that? or the CVs? or the hubs?
If I paid to have my transfer case rebuilt my would they rebuild my transmission?

 

OK, ooh I got one............ or, if you got a flat tire and have to have it fixed, would they replace the rim it was on?

 

yeah, yeah, I know, laugh it up. I know it was a silly question, but was looking over my receipts, and it says "Rebuilt Trans/Transfer case" .............
