It is steel.

This is what I know because of what our rigs had on them form the factory: Not sure what had been done to other peoples rigs before they bought them.

I think Happythree is either calling the silver bumper, aluminum "color" or he is refering to the skid plate below the bumper.

This all started when posters were talking about a slid plate. seems like that is the aluminum plate up in front of the steel plate.
So that's what I commented on when I painted my aluminum plate.

I think its a bumper behind the tow hooks,then an alum skid plate followed by a black steel one.

I never saw a silver bumper, sorry bout that.

 

Yeah, things were identified wrong from the start of this thread, thus the confusion.
