Wondering if anyone has found a front-hitch mount for newer H3's? Looking to install one for a winch mount, I see that CURT hitches makes one but it states it's only for 2007 or earlier H3's? Wondering if anyone has found one for a 2009?

Any front hitch for 06/07s will work. 08+ H3s have an additional impact bar that was not present with the earlier H3s. Remove the impact bar (the hitch will then be the impact bar), and you are good to go.

I just got the keys to it (was my wife's for 4 years) so I have a lot of work to do to go get it trail ready (needs new tires at least thinking going with 17" rims and 33s). Put on new OEM aux grill headlights this weekend and the under body guards ordered new brake pads... If uncle sam comes through on taxes, probably new shocks...

 

If you're serious about being "trail ready" then stick with 16" rims.
Offroad you want more tire sidewall.
