Default InstAlled my exhaust today

I got the Alpha Gm performance from the same eBay vendor. Tips w/ H3 insignia were welded on and it sounds great 275.00 shipped and the install free in my garage. I wish I could do a sound clip but it's a nice rumble but I thought it would be louder.

Like a fine wine, it'll get better with age!

I paid $152.50 for my exhaust and $20ea for the tips. Grand total $192.50

Were else are you going to get a brand new in the box Borla for under $200?

just got mine on (the touring system on the 3.5L) after a hard fought battle with the stock exhaust. It was a little tricky getting the two 15mm nuts off of the factory exhaust but after some PB Blaster, a little elbow grease and help from my boss we finally got it.
It looks great and sounds good too.

I'm actually very happy with the tone and volume as it is noticable from inside the truck but not by any means obnoxious. It will probably sound better as it breaks in (as someone else mentioned). For people who are worried about "drone": dont be. Turning on the radio will easily drown out the sound that it does produce.

There's really no reason for me to post pictures because it looks identical to 58Bisc's but I will try to get a decent "real world application" sound clip and post it. Ive fiddled around with my ipod tonight trying to get one but i think i'm getting a lot of washout from it being in my garage. If it isnt snowing tomorrow I will try again.

I have none with the performance system on the V8. I messed with the exhaust on every car I owned so I was a little worried with this since some didn't turn out so good. But a flow master 50 at my local shop was 149.00 installed this cat back was 195.00, but I did have to pay 80 to ship it from Texas to New Jersey, they beat me on shipping. But the install is a do it yourself.

Agreed, the shipping charges are a tad high but it's definately worth getting the entire catback system vs just a muffler. Its pretty much a guaranteed fit, direct bolt-on.

I will say that Im going to investigate having the joints welded or I am going to get those "u-bolt" style exhaust clamps for this thing. Im not sold on the clamps that came with the system. I've got them cranked pretty darn tight and there's still exhaust leaking from both joints.
