Creaky Suspension

Creaky Suspension
It seems like every time I head to the high desert and go off road I end up with a
very creaky (noisy) suspension after returning home.
I drive off road in very dusty conditions and even crossed over a dry lake bed on this last trip
The surface of this old alkaline lake bed is the consistency of talcum powder. The dust gets every where. So much so it is difficult to know the color of my truck after awhile
So I get back and do the serious wash and then my 07 H3 makes creaking sounds when i stop or turn the vehicle. It is not a mechanical sound at all
Has anyone had this happen to them, or am I alone in this ?

It might not be your suspension at all. I have had a creeking and groaning issue with my body mounts after wheeling. Try to powerwash all of the body mounts and check for a loose one. I took mine out and coated them in lithium grease and haven't had an issue since. On my other HUMMER I do the same wheeling and have had NO creeking or groaning ISSUES!
Hope this helps!

Positive, it is the suspension.
I can coast down the street at a slow speed and turn the steering wheel back and forth
and it sounds like old dry suspension bushings, similar to my old 56 chevy I had eons ago.
Or maybe like when you sit on a old spring couch
I'm tempted to power wash the front torsion bar bushings and the rear leaf spring
Maybe even silicone spray these points, too.
It is rather annoying and louder with the windows open
I know what some of you will say, "turn up the radio"

I have not checked the body bushings
Thanks so much, I completely forgot about those.
I will lube them up and do a test drive
I knew this forum had good ideas

You da man !!
I did the power washing of the under carriage and removed lots of dirt and dust.
I let it all dry and lube up my body mounts ONLY.
sure enough the creaky sound was mostly gone.
I now believe that it was more the body mounts, like you suggested, and the suspension was
the last of the creaking
Thanks for your great help
