Broken Hood Release Cable - HELP!
#11
Mine is broken right now too,but if you cant get it open.....
1...Look through the grill on the drivers side and Chase the cable to the latch.
2... feel where the cable hooks to the latch, there is a slot where you can wiggle the cable out of the spot holding it in place.
3....then tug on the cable and it pops like your release in the cab.
4... open as usual with release lever
Hope this helps

No problem, glad to help. Thats what this place is for, I have saved a bunch of money and time using the info on here and getting help from others. I did figure that One out on my own though.

the best way to learn is to get a functional h3 and pop the hood and practice.

Hi, I'm in the same boat as blharty was, with the broken hood release cable, that I'm hoping to replace myself. I have figured out how to get the hood open, but I'm looking for some easy step by step instructions to replace the cable. Any chance I can get that email too?
Thanks for your help!

Broken hood release cable
Suggestions on how to manually pop the Good? The hood release cable is broken and I can't figure out where exactly it goes to release it.

This posted originally by BERULAKIDE worked perfectly from me. Took like two seconds. Seems to be a common issue with H3's....
