Default Best mods for power gain?

Just purchased a 2008 Hummer w/ the Adventure Package and 5 speed manual trans. Wanted to see what mods you guys have down to increase the power slightly? I'm guessing the regular CAI, and I've heard about hypertech by reading some threads here, but can anyone vouch for the gains and how easy is install? I'm not trying to get anything crazy gain maybe another 20-30 HP? The gearing is much different in these cars, as its my first hummer ever, on the highway like 50 and there on its very slow acceleration even if I downshift into 3rd or 4th so didn't know what else I could do just to give it a tad more if anything.
Another thing I thought was neat about these cars was when I downshifted into 3rd going around 50 or so the RPMS was like 3800 which normally in other cars it woulda been easily at like 5500 or more. Guess its because the hummers dont go probably above 100 or so, but that that was pretty neat I wasn't stressing the engine a whole lot. Anyways, any input on easy bolt ons for a slight gain in power would be great. Thanks.!

You already have CAI from the factory.
A program upgrade will provide the best gain for the buck. Your options are the Hypertech or the PCMforless. The 16-18 HP provided on the Hypertech is pretty significant. The ability to change the factory shift points will also satisfy many of your complaints.

1) Intake, 2) PCMforless tune [or possibly a hypertech tuner for 08+ but there has been zero feedback on that so far and maybe I'll call it #2 b ], 3) Port Polished Throttle Body, 4)Efan Conversion [PCMforless has one, so does SuperModulation], and 5) Cat back exhaust.

1, 2 or 3 above offer a similar bang for the buck. The tune will have to be done before the Efan by PCMforless for controlling the fan. All of them together make a nice package, the I5 responds to it well.
