check out this thread, may help you out. Lots of styles out there and different brands have different installation. https://www.hummerforums.com/m_76869/tm.htm

Starsnbars what kind of roof rack is that if you don't mind me asking?

I just bought the OEM non locking Hummer fuel cap off of EBay. Just arrived today in fact.

I like the fact that it has the Hummer logo on it and I was looking for a non-locking unit as I read somewhere that the locks can freeze up in the winter.

So being from Canada eh where the beer is always cold and the women..well, er you get the point...[sm=lame.gif]

I got the rack here Northerner http://www.etrailer.com/pc-CCR~59504.htm Well worth the money I spent,, just watch elastic tie downs. I released 2 on one side , they flew over and dinged two small dents from the hooks attached to the tie downs on the other side,,,[] See ya,,,

Being in WINNIPEG, I haven't had mine freeze up even once in TWO winters!!!

yeah, i like the cylindrical locks (like on those ol' Tuffy lock boxes) versus the regular key locks. less chance of the key just snapping off in the lock of the gascap and being really screwed......

I've also contemplated getting a rear bumper guard and a locking fuel door.
The fuel door is a good idea not only because of haters but because of high gas prices. Murray's auto stores has locking fuel caps for under $30. I know it's not the door, but I don't have the door now.
