Thank you so much for posting this fix. You saved us well over $300.00, which is what the Hummer dealership was going to charge to fix the Truck. And I agree, that this needs to be a recall!!

Well, my turn to discuss the damage. I could not even get the connectors apart due to the plastice melting together. There are some good suggestions on this post. I will post what I eventually do to fix this. Since the dreaded coil issue (lack of power), faulty radiator, and this issue all happened at about 60 to 65K miles, I can't wait to see what else GM has in store. "Sorry, you did not buy the extended warranty." Wow, I did not realize you build your cars to self destruct after the basic warranty is up.

At least my old Jeep made it well over 100K miles when everything started to go.

BTW. Register you complaints on-line here! You just need your VIN and that can eventually force a recall!. Consumers who encounter such problems can report them to the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

Default Complete awesomeness!

I, like many on here, got a little frustrated when my blower went out in 30 degree temps. I followed the advice from this thread and Jackpot, back up and blowing. Thanks!

Just got this same issue at about 177K on my 06 H3, really glad I found this post.

Thank You all for the input and the pictures got my heat back when I really need it. Winter and no heat is not a fun drive to work.

I decided to keep the clip with the 4 lines that where good and just remove the 5th wire where it melted and cleaned the clip, cleanned the 5the line and connected that to the pin by its self.

Attached is a picture of what I did.

I did read some threads regarding the high speed fan/blower. Coincidentally, the AC/Heat stopped working moments after I raced a car at a light and took off really fast, Im wondering if that had something to do with it...

cdobis and rcatect01 - wanted to thank you both for your post and time you took to put up the images and explanation. I had the exact problem - did you fix rcatect01 mentioned (I have never picked up a soldering iron) and on came the blower. ;-) Thanks again, you probably saved me several hundred dollars.
