Default 12v stuck on

hey all, I have a H3 2007 and love it but.. today when I shut it off the gear indicator light stayed on. I then tried windows and radio and they all worked as if the acc or run position with the key in. I have disconnected the battery, tapped on relays and still nothing.
any thoughts? is this an ignition switch failure and needs to be replaced or is there a relay that is stuck someplace. its acting as if the key is still in.
thanks in advance!

You could lubricate the ignition cylinder see if it's just not operating smoothly,

If it needs to be replaced its pretty cheap and easy, I just replaced mine, downside is if you don't want to rekey the new cylinder you will also have to do the door cylinder so they match. Took me about an hour to replace both, mine ignition worked fine but my h3 came with mismatched lock and ignition and no door key, so I swapped am for new.
I found NOS gm parts on eBay for 29 bucks with new logo keys

Rekeying looks pretty easy also I watched a couple videos, they ignition cylinder comes with new key tabs and springs to slide in and match your key.

You didn't say if you opened the driver's door and waited for the 'Retained Accessory Power' to time out. If you did wait and everything stayed on then it's probably a bad door switch not signaling to shut down power after turning off the ignition.
