Was a good last couple days doing some maintenance on the hummer...

Pulled both skid plates off and checked for leaks... everything was dry.

Changed oil and filter

Changed both drive belts, I noticed the AC one looked cracked, probably never replace before, so I put some fresh Gates on.

Tightened crossmember and differential bushing... not sure why these were loose. All other bolts were good.

Greased all 11 zerks including the hard to get one. Had to buy a 90 degree fitting for my grease gun.

Replaced bump stops, rides even better now!

Doesn't sound like much, but now I'm sore as hell from rolling around on the cement... good times

Finally swapped all my junk lights for LED bars. Things are pretty bright compared to what I had up there. I still need to get some night pics.

Lojac, I sent you a private message. When you get the chance can you take a look? Nice set up. I had a gobi rack on my truck with some round pia lights but I like opening my sunroof so I traded it to Citiboy for 4 roof rails and a lightbar. I now just purchased one of those hummer roof rails with the lights already built into it. Waiting on delivery.

I just put on new rims and tires on my 03. I will post pictures on weekend.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

My 08 has 80k on it. I am going to replace my u-joints w/ spicer ones in hopes of taking out some of that driveline slack.

Also what do you guys think about replacing my water pump as preventative maintenance? I've read in here more than a handful times of the water pump going out. I don't know if it was improved upon for the 6.2l but I don't want to be stranded.

Waterpump in mine went out at 100k . Fortunately it start bad leaking while stopped on the driveway. Replacing took onlyba few hours . Not too bad . Hardest part was to remove the Fan

Thanks for the info. I think in 2007 they used a different pump, I wonder if it's any better. Maybe I need to go check the silverado forum to find out.

I searched around and the issues w/ water pumps seems to be more frequent on the 6.0 than the 6.2. But the 6.0 has been around longer too. I'm going to keep mine for now.
