Side mirrors not going up or down
Both of my side mirrors adjust side to side fine but not up and down. Since it is both of them I assumed it was the button, but I noticed that even if I have reverse tilt turned on they don't tilt when I reverse. Could both of the mirrors be damaged or is there some other module or something that I am not thinking of?

The Driver's and Passenger Doors have individual control modules, so it sounds like they are both inoperative mechanically.
What is the history? Were they like that when you got the truck or have the they subsequently stopped working?
If they've never worked, check the wiring inside the mirror housings, also it would be good to get some pics of an 08 mirror assembly.
I don't have details for an 08 but attached is thewiring for an 06 for your ref.

Thank You! I should have mentioned that I just got the truck and they haven't worked since I got it. I also suspect the motors. Something just dawned on me, maybe the previous owner had them set to both go down when reversing and the frequent up and down damaged that part of the motor.

The motors themselves will be fine, its more likely to be the tiny little rack+pinion plastic gear mechanisms which are notoriously prone to getting damaged, over enthusiastic car-washes might be a cause, who knows,
If you look at the bottom RH corner gear you can see a break in the white plastic. Also the plastic "rocker-arm" ( the arrow shaped part with numbers printed on) often break as well as the main housing it pivots-on, the pivot is in the middle underside and hidden from view in this pic.
If you operate the mirror up/down you should hear it trying to move, if not then it could the wiring related (which would be preferable)
Your wiring may look as below or could have a single connector as in the later
Unfortunately replacement mirror mechanisms are hard to find and individual plastic parts are not available to the best of my knowledge. eBay is a good place to look, I believe a Silverado mech may be compatible.
As you can tell its a passion for me.
