Prolly not.... why not go with a smoked lense instead .. I ordered me a set last year not quite sure whether I liked them or not .. but ended up looking real good. I don't like the stock lenses either and would rather do without the whole thing rather than have em on .... the smoked ones were a great compromise though. I think I posted some pics SOMEWHERE ... try searching on smoked roof lights marker or something of that nature.

Check your state before you just go and yank them off.... they are there for a reason....
I.D. , CLEARANCE LIGHTS, AND
REFLECTORS:
Part §393.11 requires a CMV that is 80 inches or
more in width, to have lights marking the extreme
width and height of the vehicle. I.D. and clearance
lights are required on the front and rear of the
vehicle. Reflectors are required on each side, front
and rear, of all CMV’s regardless of the vehicle’s
width. These light and reflector requirements are
also covered under State statutes.

thanks, for the info guys. i may just compromise and go with the smoked lenses all around the car instead of yanking them off.. or just remove the middle three and leave the two top edge markers on..law enforcement is pretty strict around my neighborhood

for some reasoni just don't like theorange lights?? i just don't understand why my tahoe doesn't need them but my hummer does?? they sit at about the same height. but what do i know... what to do, what to do....

Believe it or not... it's not height that requires them... but width....

It could be perfectly legal to take them off... which is why I said check if you really want them gone...

Default This is what I did

I am in the same boat as you are, so I wanted to remove the front middle marker lights since I do not want H2 to look like a semi.
I removed the three center lights and used the sheetmetal plugs to plug the holes and gave dab of clear RTV. Looks perfect!!
you will need two different size plugs for this and I got it from http://store.nutsandbolts.com/sheet-...ole-plugs.html

Default Size pugs

you will need 6 of 1/2" and 3 of 1-1/4" to do the front. Now, this is just for the center three front clearance lights.

I just got a killer deal on the Recon smoke clearance light package and installed this weekend. It appears solid black, but nicely lit when the lights are on.
I will shoot some pictures.
