Default Rear flashers not working right

This is a 2007 Hummer H2 with LED lights. With the key off the flashers work right and even when you turn the head lights on they still work right. You can move the ignition key to ACC and it works fine as soon as you move the key to run the top tail lights stop flashing and only the lower bumper ones flash. If you turn the lights off the top clearance lights front and rear start flashing. I have replaced the flasher module behind the fuse box. I have unplugged the bumper lights and the tail lights will not flash. I did not replace the junction panel under the bumper yet as I don't want to keep throwing parts at it. Any suggestions? This is a limo but I have eliminated the conversion causing it as I can turn all power off to the limo side with a power / battery cut off switch and it makes no differences if it is on or off

I think I have it down to the rear LED tail lights are causing the problem. I put in just regular bulbs and my issues go away. What is the best LED tail lights for the Hummer H2

You can use any LEDs, but you may have to add some inline resistors in order to get them to work correctly. Also make sure you are testing them while switching polarity on the bulbs.

Full tails from my experience and others will never work correctly. For example, mine work fine with the turn signals but once I press the brakes the tail light and lower bumper light alternate instead of both blinking at the same time. I figured it will alert people to not rear end me lol. Most do include resistors which I do have installed and it does not correct the alternating blink. Bulbs themselves I do not recall having any issues with but LED bulbs don't have the same look as full LED tails IMO.

Yeah full tails are what I have. I had to ditch the included resistor pack and get my own inline resistors for each of the brake and turn signal sockets, so 4 inline resistor sets total. They are polarity dependent as well, they worked in either connection, but you will have to test all aspects to make sure they are correct, or you'll have quickflash or no cruise control if not in the correct polarity. Test with engine off, running through lights and turn, and engine on, as well. and also auto lights off/on...took me a good bit to get them to work correctly, but much better than just bulbs.

Ya'll sure do like to jump through a lot of hoops to have LED's everywhere.... Instead of short circuiting things with very hot resistors why not just replace the flasher relay with one intended for working with LED's like this?
Amazon Amazon

I've stayed with regular bulbs myself as most times I've tried LED's they realistically end up not lasting as long as regular bulbs (unless you want to spend big money and get all Diode Dynamics ones). Not really bashing or anything - I've always just been a bit perplexed by it is all. Its not like the regular bulbs are frequently failing or something. Mine seem to (generally speaking) last for 5+ years.

Hey Mix, that would definitely be ideal, i remember when i first installed mine they didn't have one that fit the H2s, i'll have to look into get that one and take out all the resistors for sure, they do get hotter than hell!
