Default Rear Coil Spring Spacer Install

Searched the forum and could not find a thread on this, if there is one, please just direct me to it.

I was wondering if anyone can put up install instructions and or pics for a rear coil spacer.

There really isn't much to it. I disconnected the rear sway bar and lower shock mount so the rear suspension could hand lower. Then I had a buddy push down on the hub (wheel off) to give me more space to work, slid the spacer with the spring into place and moved to the other side.

Last page of my build thread when I did new rear shocks you can see a pic of the spacers

Thank you for the help. I installed front torsion keys and shock extension brackets myself, so I figured I could handle this, just didn't want to injure myself with a loaded coil.

The previous owner installed a coil spacers but doesn't remember the height, He's thinking its 2" but now seeing your pictures and knowing you have 1.5", I'm thinking it may be lower. I am wanting to go higher but don't want to go too high, a 3" would be the obvious answer if he is correct on the 2" but now I'm a little concerned.

Just measure one for a definite answer. The coils aren't under pressure once you remove the wheel, disconnect the sway bar, and let everything hand down. If you have someone push the hub downwards the spring will almost just fall out.

I just took a set of spacers out of mine, so I can help with any specific questions. I left my wheels on though and had to use coil spring compressors with the lift of my jack to get it done. Wish I'd took my wheels off!!
