That Dubai has a lot of cool cars, well that’s not a secret anymore! And to make us even jealous on this guys, GM launched a new limited edition H2 across the UAE. Called H2 Limited Dark Chrome Edition, the new special edition will be limited to only 1300 units.
GM will offer three exterior colors: Silver Ice Metallic, Sedona Metallic and Carbon Black Metallic. Silver Ice Metallic and Carbon Black Metallic are offered with the Ebony/Shale interior combination, while the Sedona Metallic color is exclusive to the Limited Dark Chrome edition and is offered only with the Sedona interior.

That is one of the very rare Dark Chrome ones.... That was not a UAE specific special edition although the majority of them were sent over there as far as I'm aware. There are some here in the USA though.
That is my hand down personal favorite H2 color and finish combination. For a while some seller on eBay had some of the surplus black chrome parts like grilles and wheels.
One from the GM Heritage Museum was auctioned off about 2 years ago. Also as far as I know, that specific one was literally the last basically still brand new H2 to be sold. It went for 110,000.

I don’t know if any ever made it to the UAE but there are only 5 or 6 believed to exist according to the YouTube video. That video is basically the best available reference point regarding the black chrome edition. It lists and shows all the unique features and states that only a few models ever fell into dealer hands

Considering it came from the GM Heritage Center Collection I'm not surprised.... likely one of the first few built with that color combo as a preview on an 08 chassis. Probably went around to a couple of shows and press events and then went to the GM Heritage Center. No idea why/when GM decides to part with vehicles from that collection. I know some are prototypes and will probably never be sold but I've also seen over the years certain vehicles from the collection sent off the Barrett Jackson to be auctioned off. Did not even cross my mind that it is an 08 with a package that was only available on an 09 model. Yeah 1/1 rarity on that. lol Also one of the very rare "concept" vehicles that was on a production chassis and hence, road legal and able to be sold. Sadly many concept vehicles are destroyed by the manufacturers. Wonder if GM kept the HX concept or the couple of H2 Hydrogen (I know they made at least two, one blue and one purple) SUT concepts. The hydrogen ones had a funky grille and a factory installed slantback top.
