Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

I had a Jeep owning carwash owner call the police on me.... and I wasn't the guy that ruined it.... the guy in front of me with a Derrick Digger did... I just followed him. When the Police arrived I was still washing and they said that there was no way that much mud came off of the truck... and asked me to leave.

I would take mud over rocks any day of the week. Once it dries, it still comes off even with the clay that I have. It's easier to get off when it is wet because you don't have to worry about the dust getting in your eyes. Either way, it is a pain to clean. If you are just playing in dirty water, that is one thing. It is a lot easier to clean. All you need is a bottle of simple green and a hose. I use a shovel and a long screw driver to clean mine now. I had a lot of angry drivers behind me once I got back on the pavement.

Either way I'm sure you will have a lot of fun when you go. Don't worry about it if people talk about you if you don't feel comfortable doing it. That is what will get you into trouble. Just sit back and watch a few trucks first so you can see if there are any drop offs that you can't see. Better them than you!

I can say one thing.... if you are the biggest vehicle... you will be friends with the smaller ones..... until you get stuck.

Thanks for your helps guys. I will keep an eye on the performance of my current tires, and based on that I will get a better understanding of my needs.
I was thinking about something not so extreme, but at the same time it has to meet the required performance of a good mud tire… So I think I will need something like Nitto Mud Grappler or BF Goodrich Mud Terrain.
Also I will like to eventually include a winch recovery system, this are some of the kits that caught my eye:
H2 Winch by Mile Marker rated at 9000 Lbs
Or
9.5xp Winch by Warn rated at 9500 Lbs.
I don’t have a lot of experience with winches and whatnot, but they appear to be some good deals.
Feel free to offer any advise regarding the tires and winches for off-road situations.
Thanks

I like the Warn 9.5xp and I have one on my rear bumper. I used to have the Warn Bumper and Warn 9.5xp on my front. I loved it, but I changed bumpers and went with a 12,000lb winch.

A long time ago....
