Default Instrument Speedometer - Part Number

Hello, I have a 2004 H2 and recently had electrical issues with the Speedo instrument. The dealership said that I have to replace the whole instrument. They need to order the part from the US, which might take 1-3 months according to them (located in Saudi Arabia).

I asked for the part number to try to find it online to order but all searches show "Discontinued". This is the Part number they provided me with: 15134729.

The gauge I have is the "White" version in KMH. I don't mind getting a MPH, but need to know which other Part # would fit. Dealership can't confirm other part #, and I'm liable for any part I order myself. I found this Part # on eBay, 15199643 would this work? (eBay Link)

any other suggestions? Thank you

This is my current cluster:

The only catch you will have aside from MPH vs KMH is the mileage is part of the cluster. So if you find one that is very close I'd say that is fine or you can get them programmed with your mileage by some places. You could also send your off to a repair place (but most all are probably in the USA).

Aside from that most any cluster from a full size GM truck or SUV (Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, etc) from 2003-2006 (and some early 2007) will plug right in and work but you will need to re-use your front bezel/lens part. I say "most" because there are a couple of caveats. One from a diesel GM truck will NOT work and many does not have a transmission temp gauge. For one with KMH as the primary I'd look for used ones out of Canada. Ones without the trans temp will work fine but I'd say it would be ideal to find one that does have that. What to look for to be sure is that the gauges and two lower display areas look the same.

You best bet might be to just get in touch with this place - https://www.fixmygauges.com/km-clusters.html Digital Dash Solutions. Explain to them the situation and see if maybe they can help. Might save a little by not needing the front lens/bezel since yours is still fine.

what is wrong with yours? there are many videos on youtube repairing gm clusters. there are very simple fixes. you can just add a stepper motor for trans on non trans clusters but you need to transfer your face with the trans provision. i used the board from a 2003 taho and swapped in my 2003 h2 eprom so that my miles transferred to the taho cluster.

im not exactly sure ..from what I understood is that the cluster is causing electrical issues all over. They can’t fix it and honestly I don’t have the experience to try myself. It’s less of a headache to just order a new one but wanted to make sure the part # i posted would be okay.

I know but non of the ones I'm sharing with the dealership over here, are confirming and head-tech or service guy said that they won't fix it (i know weird right).. I also don't want to fiddle around with it. The car has been away for a long time and i really need it back asap.

That's why i just want to buy a full complete speedo instrument which will work with my 2004 H2. I'll share below parts I found, if anyone can confirm either that will 100% plug play .. thank you all.

Option 1: Link (Manuf. Part #15179500 )
Option 2: Link ( Manuf. Part #15199643 / other #15179500 )
Option 3: Link (Part #15199643 )

If my cluster ever failed I would send it to the guy in the video. He is excellent.
