Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

I guess the next thing to try is replacing the wires - if such can be done without opening up a harness. I haven't looked at it yet, just thinking out loud. Will continue to update as I work through this issue. Hope someone finds it helpful at some point.

Thanks!
It could be the Slotted wheel sensor behind the wheel where the wire leads to from the harness itself. Or the cable could be damaged somewhere down there. I know when they repaired and replaced mine the cable comes made onto the sloted wheel "Hall" sensor.

Price Two out on the net and or four and replace them if you can. Sounds like a Job for warm weather or an inside heated garage.

A code reader might tell you which one is giveing you trouble not sure. Maybe someone else here could add to my post or offer some more info.

Thank you for the help, when I dig into this further I'll consider what you are saying. I need to look at it for it to make sense to me - I'm only familiar with the parts I've had to dig into. And in reality, those have been relatively few with this vehicle considering its age. The old girl has her 10th birthday next year...

so just a heads up.

front ABS/speed sensors will run about $30 each
i would look at replacing the hubs if you have the funds as they come with sensors as well.

your rear sensors will run about $200 each

i regeared my H2, and the shop crushed both sensors, so im in the process of replacing them. they are also special order as well.

going to be nice having 4x4 capability and ABS back

Default First Step

Thank you for the photo, that gives me a start in that regard. The first thing I'm going to do is hook of HPTuners and see what codes are being thrown. It has done it twice again over the last few days - only happens when it is cold, and it is becoming so. I'll (eventually) report back on the codes as I expect they will help point the way - in the event it is just one side. Someone was already kind enough to post some of the codes in this thread.

Why would you recommend replacing the hubs? What gearing did you change? Slightly confused, but would appreciate the assistance.

Thanks!

2003 H2

Just the other day while driving on the highway (65mph) The T/C light came on.The orange light with the slash through the letters "TC" I continued to drive home for anouther hour. Shut the truck off. The next day the light was back off and has been off ever since.Thought it was odd but i'm glad the truck is fixing itself!

The truck is not fixing it's self. That code is still in the Computer. It will come back even if you clear it. The problem must be solved and then the code can be taken out for good.

I had the ABS and Traction Control light come on along with the 4x4 no longer engaging. Turned out to be a rear wheel sensor. Had the dealer do the fix. The sensors are approx $230.
I suggest if this happens to you, buy a sensor and do the swap yourself. Service guy said this is a common failure.

Hello,
I was wondering if by chance you got the ABS and TC Control issue resolved? Mine is now doing the same thing.. I cannot find it anywhere. I rebuilt the front end and put new ABS Sensors on and I was even told to have my Gauge Cluster redone which I am doing because my speedometer sticks as well on odd speeds.. I really could use any input on ideas as to how to resolve this..
