Default Heavy Duty rear hatch supports?

I've gone through 2 sets of rear lift supports for my rear hatch in over 2 years. Is there any such thing as heavy duty that will last more than a couple years especially in the winter? What a joke these all are. May have to figure out a way to transplant the Escalade electric rear lift, now that would be cool.

Yes there are. There are a couple of threads on here that have part numbers for some heavy duty ones. I put some on mine a few years ago when I had dual rear ladders installed. Do a search and dig through some threads on here and you should find them.

Found several threads, this seems to be what I'm looking for. I don't have the weight of the extra ladders, but I did use the rubber with foil sound deadener on the inside and outside of the rear tailgate metal, lots of it, so there is a weight issue.

Not only that, I just hate crap that doesn't work.

Thanks again sir.

Gobi has several aftermarket options for the H2... they have a set of heavy duty gas shocks to be installed after you add their ladder... may do the trick...

Thanks appreciate the info. I did install the lifts from liftdepot, so I'll see how those hold up this winter, so far so good.
