Hi All,
Since years are passing and the wire cable that holds the safety catch pin can age, fray, break etc.. I thought I would make this post to save you hours from searching for a pin & lead to attach it to the carrier latch...

Here is the pin on amazon that is near exact (other than being anodized) - works perfectly as a replacement - Monroe Hardware LBR-SS7109 1/4 X .75 17-4 Button Rapid Release PIN
For the leader, if you have the ability to crimp you can make one, If not here is a suggestion that doesnt involve crimping or buying cabling, etc-
135# musky fish leaders in a 8" (possibly a 6") length- you can get in a pack of 3 and use 2 of the stay lock snaps (one on each side) to pass through the hole on the carrier and the new pin. I doubled mine up - 2 leaders under one snap lock.

Thank you! im going through this right now and its a pain in the *** to find the pin. i was able to get a really good/durable metal wire cable i will be trying this.

 

Glad it helped!! Pin still works perfect after 4 years. If anyone ever finds an oem solution - post it!
