h2 steering issue

So why should one trust Prestone (a brand that I have not trusted but had to use in the 1970's as there were few options then).
I do not. Clearly I only trust GM-approved stuff. And that would be AC Delco. Because there have been enough issues just using GM products (c.f. the multiple transaxle fluid spec changes for the C7 Corvette due to slippage), without introducing other variables like different manufacturer blends.
Yes, ATF can work just about anywhere in a pinch. You can use it as gear oil for short periods too in things like differentials. But that is only for emergency situations, like when you need to get yourself out from the backcountry. No other valid reason. And that is my stance

So here we have a trust issue problem. The OP showed us a link to the Kroon oils website, which is clearly wrong in recommending ATF use in the 2007 H2. So we do not trust Kroon.

I am told that the Canada version is for colder climate. It is apparently thinner than the USA stuff, but not sure that is true, or if it is all the same stuff, with different country code only.
Maybe someone else knows?
The Canadian # 89061186 (which has now changed to 19329449 (1L size) and 19329451 (500ml).
Not sure how cold it gets in NL.
AC Delco also has a "Cold-Climate" version for where temperatures hit -20F (-30C), which is lighter and eliminates squeel in cold temperatures.
But most of Canada regularly gets that cold, but uses the Canadian version, not cold-climate version.

In all honesty what I can see in the video is what looks like a worn out steering or suspension component after the steering box. I’d have it inspected by someone reputable that can put it on a 2 post lift and check tie rod ends, pitman and idler arms, wheel bearings, sway bar links and all of the suspension stuff.
