Default Custom ECU Tune (cat delete)

Is it common in the GM truck world to find tuners who can upload a custom tune file that removes any OBDII errors due to a catless exhaust?

I have a 911turbo with this setup, so I thought why not with an H2? My car passes California emissions with no cat.

So I just called Predator and their suggestion was:

Hollow out the existing cat and reinstall it (so it passes smog visual) and for an extra $25 they can turn off the error code in their ECU upgrade. So the total for the ECU would be $625.

I feel that $625 is a bit steep, does anyone know of another tuner option?

Nevermind - Predator just called me back and said they can't do it because it's illegal.

Anyone know a GM tuner who will do this?

dowork, i'll check with my guy here & see if that's something that can be done & instead of having to try & go thru somebody like Predator cause they're going to go strictly by the Book!

Any tuner should be able to do it. Just find a performance shop in your area. Have a catless Camaro and have the front O2 sensors turned off. No CELS

Our hummers have 2 pair of O2 sensors. The front pair are what the ECM uses to determine air-fuel ratio, you really have to have these. The second pair tells the ECM if the cat's are working correctly. Once you remove the cats, you have to tune these out which is a really simple thing to do. HP Tuners can handle it as will other devices. I do not think you will pas CA emissions without the rear O2 sensors but I might be wrong.

There is a method to eliminate the front pair of O2 sensors but its via a speed density tune, which I won't get into here and is not needed for what you want to do anyway.
