Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

the aftermarket tech2 also resets when you toggle the ignition. i believe the obd2 port cuts power causing a reset. you can look up an obd port pinout for vcc pin to verify power during ignition cycle with a test light.

Dam, always something. Now that I'm having this issue I see a lot of others through searches, have had the same lost comm issues with the Nano/Tech2win setup. I reloaded firmware which worked for 1 guy. I'm hoping someone on here with the same Nano setup can help. Bad enough trying to fix the H2, but now got to fix the tool that was supposed to help fix the H2. Go figure.

I've had the same, especially drilling into test procedures or charts vs dtc check or basic sens9r read. I've gone back at other times and it worked fine on the same screen it failed on previously. I've only tried the nano on my 08. What were you attempting when it disconnected? I'll try the same on my 04 and in another 30 days or so ill try it on the 06 w/Duramax.

It did it in most all screens but the crank relearn was worse where it wouldn't reconnect on its own. And it wouldn't allow me to complete the relearn which is a major issue for me.

let's start with port settings, this is from one of my laptops running windows 7.

Don't focus on the port number, it will get assigned when you plug the nano in.

Also, try selecting the prior or later year of truck and see if it helps.

I've read that it will sometimes help

Thanks Neal, these images help to verify my port settings. I had to adjust them for my BRP/Evinrude software as well. I am also gonna try compatibility mode to see if it helps. My Win7 is 64bit Pro. Matching up settings now with yours and will try it in a bit. Honey do's got me for a bit. Daughter, SIL, Grandaughter will be here midday from Knoxville.

Everyone have a great and safe Thanksgiving and many thanks to you all helping me!

For sure, may be a couple days but definitely want this thread and learning experience to be of value to others as well.
