2006 H2 -Tech2 type units being used in 2023
What scan diagnostic tools are you all using currently on the H2's? I need a Tech 2 or one just as versatile so I can avoid shop charge as much as possible., So looking for suggestions.
I have a old ZR11 from HF that really is of no use beyond basic. I bought it 10 yrs ago or so because it was cheap and I was out of town and needed to see what MIL was for and I hoped I would learn something while using it. Which it will show live data and graph 1 channel at a time so its not totally useless.
I'd like a scanner that could show / graph everything like cycl misfire-balance, do crank relearn, fuel trims and the whole works so I can get a P0300 Engine misfire code figured out and resolved. Plus air ride calibrate and other H2 specific tasks would be a plus. The last 2 months I have been getting it cleaned and freshened up cosmetically and mechanically after little use the last 10 years. I'd like to start driving it more again but until I get past this code issue I'm at a stand still. Still need to get new tires and do a few more things but been no need all this time it's been sitting. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I've got a few different ones, all knock offs as for the DIY mech the real deal is rather expensive.
the best all around for me is the VXnano, they keep their software up to date and I've had no issues with it for a good while. Its good for programing, diagnosing and special functions
The second is the Tech2, the tech2 is my go to device when troubleshooting older vehicles, pre 13 depending on the vehicle.
The MDI II is a good one to but the software updates can be an issue, you have to go to TDS and hope the update works with the knock off device.

Thanks, I'm looking for one that probably doesn't exist. Goals would be hopefully $300 or less that does most everything the real GM Tech2 would do. The Nano you mentioned in their description said you could get Tech2 win software with it. That would be great IF one can see and record live data stream, seeing all the variables to help diagnose issues. Right now it's the P0300 I'm fighting. I have been thru all the old threads on subject. The knockoff TECH2's I see don't show Hummer, cars only. I'd love to be able to do a crank relearn with one and another would be calibrate ride height when a sensor is replaced. Your Tech2-is it the real deal or knockoff? Any direction to a product that will work on the 2006 6.0l H2 would be awesome.
