05 H2. - spark plugs, wires and heat shields replacement
About to replace the spark plugs, spark plug wires and heat shields. Have a little rough idle and at times locks power. I do have a misfire that occasionally comes up, depends on the day. It also may be due to bad fuel injector(s) so those will be replaced next. Are the AC Delco fuel injectors really $100 a pop? Or is it my vision going blurry? Any suggestions for these, part number or manufacturer that would work well with the H2?
thanks.
These new ones are clean.
In case anyone needs a part number for the set of 8.

if your plug wires ohm out to 1000k ohms or less they are fine. as for injector with a tech 2 or good scanner you can do an injector balance flow test. you hook up a fuel pressure tester to the fuel rail and run the test. it will precharge the fuel system before testing each cylinder. in my case it charged to 52 psi and all my injectors 1-8 discharged to exactly 28 psi so to me it ruled out injector flow. that does not mean my spray patterns are correct but the flow was identical. i could be pissing a stream of fuel instead of a mist pattern but they all flow the same. 216k miles on the injectors.

After replacing spark plugs and wires, i definitely feel a much smoother idle and it runs with no hesitation. Let’s hope it keeps up.
What is the sensor next to spark plug #1? The plastic connector is so old it’s falling apart, the clip has fell apart and it’s just sitting in. Possibly looking and re doing the connector and probably replace the sensor as well.
Thanks.
