Removing hood insert
#2
Open the hood and pinch the clips while lifting up and or pushing up on the clip and plastic stud, unless some dealer did the recall fix and glued it down!!
I removed mine to plasti-dip the hood and then replaced it. I wanted it to contrast slightly.
I also thru bolted some hood handles to keep it on.

Moved to the H3 section. You posted this in the Forum Help/Suggestion section, which is for questions on how to use the features of the forum, not about any vehicle stuff.
Thanks Hunner for an excellent response.

The adhesive recommended in the recall is pretty stout stuff. You'd likely bust up the vent if you attempt to remove it unless they didn't use much at all.
You'll likely have to tape it off and cover the rest of the vehicle with a $2 disposable drop cloth.
